About the paintings
The abstract paintings are full of colour and energy. They are often a response or reaction to an emotional situation or event which might occur during the course of that painting’s development. This is often very personal and private, and sometimes hinted at in the title.I like to experiment with printing techniques, using clothes belonging to friends and family, as well as shoes, cardboard and other materials.
Although the paintings are abstract, they sometimes have a landscape-type space, and may contain subtle references to land and sea.
